Electrolysis plants for the production of sodium hypochlorite

The electrolysis plants for the production of sodium hypochlorite AQUACHLOR are manufactured and maintained by the Holding Company “Laboratory of Electrochemical Technologies”.
What is the equipment?

Such installations are the latest generation of ergonomic, high – performance, environmentally friendly, non-hazardous, and also easy-to-use electrochemical systems with a long operational life. Among their features – in automatic mode:

  • reagent-free cleaning of electrochemical reactors;
  • maintaining the necessary oxidant concentration in the disinfected water.

And also:

  • up to two kilograms of salt oxidants are consumed per kilogram, and no more than 3.0 kW/h of electricity is consumed;
  • the degree of salt processing is almost one hundred percent.

The oxidant solution is functionally an analogue of chlorine water. It is necessary for the disinfection of water according to the appropriate technology of using chlorine water with the use of all possible methods and controlling means of the disinfection process.

What is an electrolysis plant for?

AQUACHLOR installations are designed for the production of sodium hypochlorite, which is used for disinfection, water purification:

  • in swimming pools, saunas, baths;
  • at stations intended for the supply of drinking water.

And also – for water disinfection:

  • in the systems of cooling circulating water supply of organizations of the energy complex, industries-metallurgical, chemical;
    open-type water areas;
  • in the cycles of the technological plan at industrial and food enterprises, including.

Also, thanks to the electrolysis plant for the production of sodium hypochlorite, disinfection is possible:

  • agricultural, industrial, domestic wastewater;
  • before disposal-medical waste;
  • drains of medical institutions (tubdispansers are no exception).

They use equipment for producing chlorine for use in technological cycles in various fields – metallurgy, paper production, the military industry, and so on.

The principle of operation of the electrolysis plant

In the considered installations, the electrochemical decomposition of the salt solution occurs by means of ion-selective electrolysis with a diaphragm. This process is fundamentally new.

  • The sodium-chloride solution is supplied to the reactors of the equipment. There, in the course of an electrochemical reaction, chlorine, alkali and hydrogen are obtained.
  • The electric power consumed in the production of sodium hypochlorite is ten kW.
  • The current required for the operation of the installation is 2,400 A, the voltage is 4.4 V.
  • Monitoring of the parameters of the equipment functioning is carried out continuously, this happens in automatic mode.

Advantages of the equipment

The modular-block execution of AQUACHLOR contributes to the fact that the creation of a system of arbitrary performance is available. This is also possible in rooms of very different configurations, and it is not necessary to carry out special project development activities, as well as installation and construction. Replace the containers with chlorine with the above-mentioned equipment: at the same time, the hydraulic scheme of the chlorination plant does not need changes.

Such installations are completely safe, which is confirmed by the relevant regulatory authorities. There is no free chlorine volume, all the produced chlorine is dissolved together with other oxidation products in water. A product is formed, the activity of which as a decontaminator is very high: it is higher, for example, than that of chlorine gas.
